FSTP-Canada Immigration Process
With effect from January 1, 2015, The Government of Canada launched the “Express Entry” system for immigration to Canada. The Federal Skilled Trades applications are being processed through Express Entry, which is a faster way to get Canada Immigration Visa for permanent residency.
The Government of Canada and the employers are able to select and send the invitation to apply, for the new immigrants from the Express Entry Pool.
Once the candidate receives the invitation, he has 60 days to complete the application form and duly submit it along with all the supporting documents. The submission of the application and supporting documents is considered as the acceptance to the invitation.
After completing and uploading all the necessary documents, candidates are sent an Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR) by the Citizenship and Immigration Canada(CIC) which further reviews the applications and confirms whether a candidate is eligible for the program or not.
Passport and Right of Permanent Resident Fee
After reviewing the documents CIC requests the candidates to pay the permanent resident fee and passport to issue the Canada Immigration Visa under the FSTP.
