Overview
As per the Canadas new 2021 Immigration levels plan, Canada welcoming aprox 400,000 new immigrants each year, of which over 100,000 immigrants each year will fall under family class sponsorship
What is Canada family sponsorship?
There are two main things in sponsorship:

1) Though family sponsorship your family member to immigrate to Canada and get PR.

2) you need to take responsibility for providing the basic needs and support financially to the person, you wish to sponsor
How to be a sponsor?
If you wish to sponsor a family member, you need to meet several requirements as follows:

You need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada

Your age 18 years or older
-
You need to support the sponsored person for several years
Who can I sponsor?

Your Spouses and common-law partners
-
Your Dependent children
-
Your Parents and grandparents
-
For sponsoring your sister, niece, or uncle, following points to be meet
you do not have any other immediate family members you could sponsor, or
you have legally adopted them and they meet the definition of a dependent child.
What are the income requirements to sponsor?
For sponsoring, you need to sign a Sponsorship Agreement with your sponsored
family member. This is a promise by you to provide financial support for the
basic needs (food, clothing, shelter, and health needs not covered by public
health services) of the person you wish to sponsoring.
Few types of sponsorships, you need to meet or over the Low Income Cut-off
(LICO), if:

The sponsoring spouse or partner who
has a dependent child and that dependent child has one or more
children of their own, or -
The sponsoring dependent child who has
one or more dependent children of their own, or -
you are sponsoring a parent or
grandparent.
If you are staying in Quebec, you need to meet Quebec’s sponsorship
requirements and your income will be assessed by the Quebec immigration
ministry.
What is the meaning of sponsorship?
It means you have to sign an “undertaking” agreement and you are legally
tie-up with the family member you are sponsoring, in case the sponsored
person needs a government social assistance, you need to repay that amount.
Even the situations changed between you and sponsored person like person you
are sponsoring becomes a Canadian citizen, if you divorce or separate, if
you have financial problems the undertaking will stay in effect as per the
agreement and it will not be cancelled.
Depends on the family member the length of the undertaking will vary, in case
of kids their age

For Quebec residents, the length of the undertaking also depends on
the family member you are sponsoring and, in the case of kids, their
age:

Step by step process for family sponsorship
Step 1: Make sure you meet eligibility criteria to be a
sponsor.
Step 2: Make sure that the family member you wish to sponsor
meet eligibility criteria.
Step 3: You have to submit your application at the federal
level to the Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
and, if you are a Quebec resident, at the provincial level to the Ministry
of Immigration, Francization, and Integration (MIFI). You have to submit
your sponsorship application and the permanent residence (PR) status
applications of your family members together. Once you selected as an
eligible sponsor, your PR application will be reviewed.
Step 4: You have to pay the family sponsorship application
fee.
Step 5: Submit the application as per the requested address.
Canada - Spouse or Common Law-Partner Sponsorship
If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada you may
sponsor:

legally married spouse
-
common-law partner ( if you are living
together a minimum 12 month in a conjugal relationship and not
married legally ) -
conjugal partner (you are not legally
married or in a common-law relationship and they are living outside
Canada)
For sponsoring a spouse or common-law partner you have to meet the
below points

your age at least 18 years, a Canadian
permanent resident living in Canada or Canadian citizen. -
You need to show that you can give the
basic needs for yourself and your spouse or partner, -
You need to Prove your relationship
with the sponsored person is genuine by submitting supporting
evidence.
spousal or common-law sponsorship applications are two types
-
Inland: The person
you wish to sponsor is presently in Canada, the application can made
from within Canada, in this case your spouse may apply for an open
work permit and able to work under any employer and continue staying
with you while application is being processed.
It is possible for spouses or partners to come to Canada by first
applying for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). -
Outland: The person
you wish to sponsor currently outside Canada and you can submit the
application from abroad, in this situation your spouse has to wait
for permanent residence approval but they may visit you in Canada
with a TRV
Canada -Dependent Child Sponsorship
Whether natural or adopted, you can sponsor your dependent children, to live
with you as permanent residents in Canada.
Children should meet the below definition of a dependent child to be
qualify for sponsorship:

He or she is not married or in a
common-law relationship and is below 22 years of age, then only a
child is considered as a dependent. -
A dependent if they have a physical or
mental condition that prevents them from being able to support
themselves, they may be considered even over 22 years of age.
Canada - Parents and Grandparents Sponsorship
Through Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship Program ( PGP) and Super Visa Program you can bring your parents and grandparents to Canada and make them as a Canadian citizens
Eligibilitycriteria for the Parents and Grandparents Program

You need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada,
-
Your age minimum 18 years of age,

You need to be a child or grandchild of the person(s) you are sponsoring,
-
You have to meet the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) required for the number of their family and provide Canada Revenue Agency issued notices of assessment as proof,
-
You need to sign a sponsorship agreement that acknowledges your commitment to give the basic needs of family member(s) for a period of 20 years,
-
You need to sign an additional agreement if you live in Quebec.
Your spouse or common-law partner can help you meet the income requirement by co-signing the undertaking.
If a co-signer is helping you meet the MNI requirements, the co-signer should meet the same eligibility criteria as you, the sponsor. In addition, your co-signer must:

not be the person being sponsored,

have cohabited with you in a conjugal relationship for minimum one year.
Canada Super Visa Program
Your parents and grandparents may come to Canada under super visa and its extended multiple-entry visas that can last up to 10 years. They can apply super visa at the same time as the to PGP.
For applying super visa your parent need to eligible as follow:

You need to be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada,

You be the parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada,
-
You need a signed letter of invitation from your child or grandchild,
-
You need a medical insurance
-
You have to apply for the super visa from outside Canada.
Your Canadian kid or grandkid will have to submit the proof, that their household meets the minimum necessary funds.
