The minimum requirements for applying FSW :

• One year of continuous full-time or equivalent paid work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled occupation classified under the National Occupational Classification (NOC) skill level 0, A or B
• Validated language ability equivalent to Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or French across all abilities (reading, writing, listening, and speaking)
• Canadian educational credential (certificate, diploma, or degree) or foreign credential and Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) report.

FSW POINT SYSTEM

The FSWP’s selection factors are listed below. We need to get minimum 67 points out of 100.

• If the applicant went to school in Canada, he/she must have a certificate, diploma or degree from a Canadian school.
• If the applicant has a foreign education, he/she must have a completed Credential and must submit the education credential assessment report to prove that his/her foreign education is equal to Canadian credential.

The current organizations designated by IRCC to issue ECA reports are:

• World Education Services.
• Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies.
• International Credential Assessment Service of Canada.
• International Qualifications Assessment Service.
• International Credential Evaluation Service.
• Medical Council of Canada (professional body for Doctors)
• Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (professional body for Pharmacists)

The ECA must be issued on or after the date that IRCC designated the service. In addition, the ECA must not be more than five years old on the date that IRCC receives the candidate’s Express Entry profile and application for permanent residence.

• A maximum of 28 points awareded under this factor including second language , 24 points for the first language and 4 for second language
  
• Applicatnts should score minimum CLB 7 level
  

Applicants who score below CLB 7 are not eligible to apply for the Federal Skilled Worker program

To support language abilities, applicants must include test results from the following organizations

• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or the Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) for the English language; and
  
• • Test d’evaluation de francais (TEF) or Test de connaissance du français pour le Canada (TCF Canada) for the French language.
  

The language test results are valid for 2 years after the date of test and the results must be valid at the time of application for the permanent residence.

Points are also awarded to a principal applicant under the Federal Skilled Worker Program’s adaptability factor for a spouse or common-law partner’s language skills.

Your spouse or common-law partner must have a proven language level in either English or French equivalent to CLB 4 level or higher in all four language abilities: speaking, listening, reading and writing. The principal applicant may obtain five (5) points towards his or her overall Federal Skilled Worker points under the adaptability factor for a spouse or common-law partner’s language ability. Language skills can also award Federal Skilled Worker candidates points under Express Entry’s Comprehensive Ranking System skill transferability factors.

  Step 1: Find out if you meet the FSWP’s eligibility criteria. Contact CanadaVisa point for checking your eligibility.
• Step 2: If you meet the criteria, you need to complete an English and/or French language test that is designated by the Canadian government. You also need to obtain an Educational Credential Assessment. • Step 3: Submit your Express Entry profile onto the website of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
• Step 4: Receiveing anInvitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence. IRCC holds Express Entry draws approximately every two weeks.
• Step 5: Once you receive an ITA, you go ahead and submit your completed permanent residence application to IRCC. IRCC usually process the application within six months. You can then fly to Canada.
