British Columbia, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Prince Edward Island have nominated candidates in the latest Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw results. Provinces nominate a particular candidate based on pure merit; the ease of integration into the local work culture and the value addition that particular candidate brings to the provincial economic setting. Getting a PNP nomination means that the candidate has a solid application when they apply for PR via IRCC.
Provincial nomination is a collaborative responsibility between the IRCC, a federal body, and the provincial governments. There will be an immigration-level plan set by IRCC every year that decides the number of PR-eligible candidates via PNP. This number further will be divided among various provinces participating in the PNP.
British Columbia:
On December 19 British Columbia issued a PNP invitation to 230 Skilled Workers and International Graduate candidates of the BC PNP. The largest draw was for the tech occupations where 107 candidates were invited with a minimum score of 95. There were also 32 candidates from the construction occupation with a minimum score of 75. The remaining two draws invited 29 candidates for healthcare and 62 early childcare educators.
Manitoba:
The PNP program draws on December 21, Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP); the province invited 1113 candidates with a minimum score of 601. The next took place on December 28 across three categories.
The province warmly welcomed 160 skilled workers to Manitoba, who have a relative residing in the province. The relative must have a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who has been living in Manitoba for at least the past 1 year. The minimum cut-off score was 612.
The province graciously extended an invitation to 67 candidates pursuing International Education and 27 skilled workers from overseas, each boasting a commendable minimum score of 698.
On December 29, the province graciously gave 89 invitations to eligible candidates who fulfilled the criteria outlined in the Special Measures for Ukraine. These individuals also complied with the prerequisites for Skilled Workers Overseas and, remarkably, have a dear relative residing in the vibrant province of Manitoba.
Saskatchewan:
On December 27 Saskatchewan invited 63 Candidates to the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). It was the first SINP draw after October 23. The draws were for 48 jobs in demand and 15 invites for express entry. The minimum score for both these draws was 69, and educational credential assessment.
Prince Edward Island:
Prince Edward Island invited 26 candidates via the Labour and Express Entry streams of the PEI PNP. Candidates from Healthcare, food processing, and construction occupations were considered. Candidates with a minimum score of 92 were also invited from the business work permit category.
