The New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot Program is an exceptional provincial nomination program to address the critical labor shortage across New Brunswick province and different regions. Individual applicants cannot apply directly. The employers who are already a part of the program will need to apply on behalf of the prospective applicant. At this time there are six selected employers in New Brunswick on a new immigration pilot project; who are authorized to bring in foreign workforce to the province. This program is the first of its kind. The employers have been selected based on pure merit and participation in both provincial and federal economic immigration programs, over at least the last three years. The employers must also demonstrate their experience in newcomer settlement and soft skills development of employees.
Up to 10% of PNP candidates will be accepted into the New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot program, which is a collaborative initiative between the federal and provincial governments. Six employers from a variety of industries now participate in this employer-driven stream of the NB PNP.
